What happens when Intel goes to the movies?
In the words of DreamWorks Animation’s Chief Executive Officer, Jeffrey Katzenberg, InTru 3D allows animated films to become “an immersive experience, not an observational experience.” From the front row to the last, viewers now have a seat in the middle of the action. That’s why DreamWorks Animation has committed to producing all of its feature films using InTru 3D technology beginning in 2009.
In addition to working with DreamWorks Animation to enhance the in-theater experience, Intel is also developing next-generation 3D viewing experiences and technology for a range of other platforms, including home theater, personal computers, video games, and online environments.
DreamWorks Animation’s "Monsters vs. Aliens"

Will 3D look the same on TV and online as it does in the theater?
Consumers will get a premium experience when going to see “Monsters vs. Aliens” firsthand in theaters March of 2009. The movie was conceived and authored using state-of-the-art InTru 3D which delivers a more immersive story and an incredible visual experience. The digital projection technology in theaters now allows a perfectly synchronized way to experience 3D without the eye strain and fatigue that was a problem with the old 3D technologies.
Outside of the movie theater, televised video pieces such as the “Monsters vs. Aliens” 3D trailer, the SoBe Lifewater 3D advertisement and the special 3D episode of Chuck will use an emerging technology, ColorCode 3D, to create a new way to view 3D in the home. It is a significant advancement over traditional 3D technology that has been available in the home and we believe ColorCode 3D provides the best quality experience that is currently available for the home viewing of 3D.
